Are We Really Going to Blog About Gardening?
The simple answer to that question is yes. My name is Jake and I’m going to blog about gardening. My uncle and dad assist in the gardening but not the writing, so that’s what I’m here for.
For the record, we’re not talking about some small herb garden your sister that lives in the city keeps on her balcony or the fun little flower garden your grandma keeps out back. This is serious. Tomatoes. Onions. Strawberries. Fertilizer. Corn. Cows. This is a farm. This is rural living, people. We’re gonna grow it and we’re gonna eat it.
The spring will mark our second attempt at this garden and we’re expanding the operation. We’re incorporating some new land and adding more plants.
Really, we think we have a better grasp of what we’re doing. In reality, we probably don’t. But for the fun of it we’ll take photos and video. We find it entertaining. Maybe you do. Maybe you don’t. For as long as we get a laugh out of it we’ll keep doing it.
Anyway, this site will serve as a clearinghouse for all our thoughts, photos and videos. Anything that happens with the garden will get posted here.
First thing on the list is finalizing the plants we’re going to put in this year. The list is typed up and will be signed by all the important parties. It will be a magical event akin to signing the Declaration of Independence.
Once the list is final we’ll post it. Bam! Let’s get this mystical ride of gardening started. In January with two feet of snow on the ground no less.
